Entrepreneurial Discovery II 2026

Over 505 million euros for research and development

The Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (MIMIT) has published the first details on the “Scoperta Imprenditoriale II (2026)” program, which is designed to fund industrial research and experimental development projects to be carried out in less developed regions.

The initiative aims to support the development of new, highly innovative products, processes, and services by promoting collaboration between businesses and research organizations.

Companies of any size with at least two approved financial statements, as well as research centers, are eligible for these incentives. The projects, which must be carried out collaboratively, must involve an investment of between 1 and 5 million euros and have a duration of between 18 and 36 months.

For the Fondazione D³4Health ecosystem and its research infrastructure, this initiative represents a significant opportunity to develop collaborative projects among large companies, SMEs, and research organizations in the fields of digital health, precision medicine, artificial intelligence, sensors and biosensors, biomarkers, digital twins, and biological twins.

The D³4Health Foundation is available to support companies and partners in building partnerships, defining project ideas, and preparing project proposals.

The incentives consist of a combination of low-interest loans and grants, with the amount varying based on the size of the beneficiary. The terms and procedures for submitting applications will be established in a subsequent MIMIT regulation.
